Do More With Zapier!

Zapier is the easiest way to connect Streak to 750+ other tools (like RingCentral, Typeform, and Calendly), no coding required.

At Streak HQ, we rely on Zapier to help us save time on all kinds of tasks: creating a support box for each new Gmail thread in support@streak.com, sending updates on Streak usage from Sheets to existing Boxes, and - see below - easily collecting your product requests using Typeform.

We've been doing some spring cleaning to freshen up and add to our integration with Zapier. We're working on additional updates, including support for Contacts and Organizations. Our 'to do' list is wide open for suggestions and we need your input! (Review existing Triggers and Actions here)

Creating a similar Typeform -> Streak automation is easy!
Create new Streak boxes from Typeform form entries

New Action: Create Call Log or Meeting Note

Streak sales and success teams are big fans of Calendly - we use the below Zap to easily schedule meetings and then automatically create the corresponding Meeting Note:

Among the many options for phone systems, you can use our new Call Log action to integrate RingCentral:

Friendlier Date Handling

All date fields in Streak (both dates you enter and also dates we automatically offer in Magic Columns) are now offered as both the computer timestamp and also plain 'human' time:

We also improved behind the scenes handling of users making edits in different time zones.

Use results of Formula Column in Zapier

If you previously tried to use the results of a Formula Column from Streak in Zapier and found we were giving you the formula itself, and not the results of that formula, this is now fixed!

Use your Formula results to Filter by Zapier if you only want your Zap to continue if your calculated Deal Size (Deal Size * Probability to Close) is large enough.

Or, use your Formula Results to output Closed Won deals to chat, including the calculated number of days between a Lead being Created and it moving to the Closed Won Stage.

Importing Multiple Contacts Per Box

Thank you for your feedback on we should design the Import to handle multiple Contacts and Organizations per box - with your help, this feature is now live! Our (updated!) Google Sheets based Import can now easily handle any kind of data you might throw at us.

Multi Contact Import is simple: If your sheet contains multiple rows of Contacts, and those Contacts have the same box name, we'll update that 1 box to include all Contacts!

If you need a refresher on how our Google Sheets based Importer works - see here!

If you find yourself importing often, you can save time by creating boxes using the Streak API or with Zapier (Corporate and Enterprise plans only for both).

Note:
Keep in mind the only function of update during Import is to replace existing values. If your box currently has ContactA only, and you wish to add ContactB in addition - the correct way to configure your import is to include both ContactA and ContactB. Were you to only import ContactB, we'd replace existing ContactA with ContactB, and only ContactB would remain in the box.

Introducing Contact Linking

Contacts and Organizations now offers new level of insight for your Pipelines! We're excited to announce Contact-Contact and Contact-Organization Linking:
  1. You can manually link Contacts to other Contacts or Organizations
  2. Based on domain, Streak will autolink new Contacts to existing Organizations (or, new Organization to existing Contacts)

Linking a Contact to another Contact or Organization

Any Contact can be linked to an unlimited number of other Contacts or Organizations. There are two ways a link can be established within Streak:
  1. Automatic link based on domain of Contact and/or Organization
  2. Custom link from the Contact Card itself
A deep understanding of who a Contact or Organization is related to is easy to see right within the Contact. In the 'Linked' section of your Card, you'll be able to see not only what Organization (or Contact) is directly linked, but also the Organization's other links.

As an example, if you were to link Erik to the Streak Organization, from his Contact Card you could also see all other Contacts linked to Streak:

A few of the ways we're already using Contact Linking to make Streak HQ Pipelines better:

Sales
If you discover a Contact of interest, it's easy to browse the hierarchy of a related Organization or
Contact. When you're working a deal, looking for all connections on your team is fast and easy.

Support
Streak and gmail vs custom domain. For example, when you add an Organization to a Support Box, you'll have immediate insight into other outstanding Support needs or active Sales Boxes.

Hiring
Contacts can be linked directly together without using an Organization. If you're trying to hire Becca, and part of your offer package is impressing her spouse George, that relationship is now easily reflected in Streak.

Multiple Contact Columns + Copy/Paste or Import

No matter how complex the relationships contained in your boxes, Streak is easy to setup and use. For many Pipelines, the fastest way to get started is viewing all Contacts/Organizations associated with a box using the 'Contacts and Organizations' Column:

For more complex cases, customize your Pipeline by adding multiple separate Contact Columns so that your Pipeline reflects the specific roles of each individual:
Check out our Knowledge Base for details on adding Contact Columns.

Any Contact added to an individual Contact Column is also added to the 'Contacts and Organizations' Column:

Contacts for Better Mail Merge

Select who to include in your Mail Merge based on which Contact Column they've been added to:

And, use any of the fields on the Contact to customize the text of your Mail Merge message:

Easily Updating Your Pipeline to Include Multiple Contact Columns

1. Copy and Paste

Streak will ensure the email address (or domain) you're pasting is valid before we create a Contact (or Organization) so you can work quickly and confidently. Copy from another Streak field, from Google sheets (Excel, etc), or anywhere else you might be working!

2. Import

Streak's new Import feature fully supports all possible configurations of Contacts within your Pipeline, including importing multiple Contacts to separate Contact Columns within 1 Box. Our Knowledge Base is a great place to review Import best practices.

Export to Google Sheets

Designing our Pipelines off of Spreadsheets gives Streak a several advantages beyond offering an intuitive experience. Because spreadsheets are the default way to move information, we're ready to either accept or deliver your data in the easiest possible way. Today we're announcing our integration with Google Sheets expands from Import to now include Export to Google Sheets. Combined with our existing Import from Google Sheets, it's never been easier to move Data into or out of Streak.

All New: Google Sheets Integrated Export

Our new Export to Google Sheets does everything the legacy CSV download feature did - and much more! Export now supports:
  1. Export Boxes, Contacts, and Organizations
  2. Export to a new Sheet OR Export to an existing Sheet
  3. Export only the Boxes shown in your Saved View (or, individually select)
  4. Schedule your Export to run automatically (Coming Soon! If you'd like to help beta test our Scheduled Export function, please get in touch! support@streak.com)
The 'Export Boxes' option is found in the same place in the Pipeline 'More' menu:

Now Exporting More Data

We sincerely appreciate all the feedback on our new Contacts feature! The response has been overwhelming, and we're happy to say you've already created over a million Contacts! Using our new Export tool, you can export Contacts and/or Organizations from any pipeline directly into Google Sheets. Whether you're looking for an easy way to create a backup or have an occasional need to share your Pipeline outside of Streak, your data is easily accessible:

Choose Boxes to Export

Selecting which Boxes to Export is as easy as individually selecting the desired Boxes directly in the Pipeline OR using a Saved View. We'll either only Export the individual boxes:
OR, with a Saved View applied, we'll only export the Boxes matching your filer:

Export as an Ongoing Process

If you manage a workflow with an ongoing need to export, the 'Export to Existing Sheet' will immediately reduce manual effort. Using the 'Export to Existing' option, you'll be able to:
  1. Create custom analysis (we do offer reporting right inside Streak, see here) in Google Sheets based off your Streak Export. In the below example, the Chart on the front 'Reports' tab reads off export of 'Today's Boxes' from Streak. Each export would result in an updated front Reports tab:

  2. Use a Saved View to easily only export new Box data (for example - depending on your view) for your email marketing tool (or - use Zapier or the API to connect the two tools directly and skip the export). We'll replace existing data with the fresh export.
